Description
This movement was made in at least two completely different variants with the same caliber number.
The version described here is a twin (except the size) of the Seiko 4206 with quarter-sector rotor, excenter changer as selfwinding mechanism and the lack of a manual winding capability. Another interesting fact is, that the date is corrected with the crown, but the seldom wrong weekday can very easily be corrected by a button at '2'.
The probably more recent version of the 46943, which is decribed in the german Chronos 1/1997 watch magazine, reminds pretty much of the Citizen/Miyota 8203. Air radar 5 2 5 x 8.

Timer utility 5 v1 0 0 financing.
- This is Jason's second watch – another diver's watch, an Orient with the calibre 46943 movement. It's in need of a full service, and that's what it will get. There is a bit of a beat error, the amplitude is a bit low, and the escapement has some dirt on it. The dial and hands are in great shape. The bottom plate with the day ring removed.
- Made in Japan Caliber 46943, 21 jewels. Water resistant, all stainless steel. Caliber 46943, 21 jewels. Really watches look much better than in the photo. The dial is in good condition, marked Orient, 21 Jewels.
